DAY 1 : You will leave the USA on your international flight.
DAY 2: You will arrive in Cairo and be met by our agent and taken to the Le-Meridien Hotel Pyramids for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Your morning in Cairo will begin with an Orientation Meeting. You will then visit the site of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Cheops' (Solar) Boat and the Sphinx. After Papyrus Paper Shopping there will be lunch at the famous Mena House Oberoi Hotel. You will drive to Alexandria via the Desert Highway (3 hours) where you will drive along the Corniche. You will check-in at the Palestine Hotel at Montaza Gardens, followed by dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: Today in Alexandria you will visit the Graeco-Roman Museum, Pompey's Pillar, Amphitheater, and Catacombs. You will also view the Fort of Sultan Qaitbay located on the same spot where the Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood. You will lunch at the Fish Market Restaurant near the Fort. You will drive back to Cairo & check in to the Le-Meridien Pyramids Hotel for overnight.
DAY 5: After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival you will be met and taken to the ship for lunch on board. Following lunch you will visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak and Luxor , which were once decorated with gold, silver, alabaster and marble. Many of the ruins you will find here are in nearly perfect condition. You will go jewelry shopping. From here you will return to the ship for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: After breakfast you will leave the ship to visit the West Bank of Luxor " Thebes" to include the Valley of Kings and Queens, the Tomb of Tutankhamen and view the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Nobles Tombs and Habu Temple . You will start the Cruise to and through the Esna Locks.
DAY 7: Today you will cruise and visit Edfu Templeby horse carriages . Continuing the cruise you will visit Komobo Templewhich is dedicated to the hawk-headed god, Harwar, and the crocodile god, Sobek. Later you will arrive at Aswan.
DAY 8: Today you will visit the Granite Quarries. You will visit the Temple of Philae which represents a fusion of the Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations. You will also sail on the Nile in a faluka and visit the Agha Khan Mausoleum .
DAY 9 : Today you will fly from Aswan to Abu Simbel, visit the two temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. You will fly back to Cairo via Aswan where you will transfer to the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel.
DAY 10: Today you will visit Sakkara, Memphisand Dahshur with a lunch at Sakkara Palm. There will be Carpet shopping in the afternoon and a Reception at the home of Tarek, our Guide.
DAY 11: Today you will visit the mosques of Sultan Hasan and Citadel. There will be lunch at Nagib Mahfouz at Khan El-Khalili bazaar with its maze of paths.
DAY 12: Today you will visit the site of Old Cairo including the Coptic Church. You will also visit the Egyptian Museumand see the treasures of ancient Egypt from over 3000 years of earliest history. Your afternoon will be free for individual activities. Tonight you will enjoy a Farewell Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 13: You will depart on your flight home.

MARCH 11 – This morning after breakfast and a brief orientation meeting, you will begin the tour with a visit to the famous Giza pyramids of Egypt, built in 2500 BC. In addition, you will also see the mighty Sphinx and the Solar Boat Museum which contains the 142-foot-long funerary boat. You will have lunch at the famous Mena House before starting the drive to Alexandria . You will go along the Desert Highway through the rich Nile Delta, scattered with family farms and villages. You will check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight. B, L, D
MARCH 12 – After breakfast, you will explore the Mediterranean seaport of Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC. You will visit the Graeco-Roman Museum, see Pompey’s Pillar, the Amphitheater, the Catacombs. You will view the Fort of Sultan Qaitbay, located on the site of the great Tower of Pharos, the world’s first lighthouse. You will have lunch at the Fish Market Restaurant near the Fort. MARCH 15 –Today you will sail to Edfu. You will leave the ship by horse-drawn carriage and go to view the amazing Temple of Horus. This is one of the finest examples of Ptolemaic art in Egypt today. You will return to the ship and sail to Kom Ombo. At Kom Ombo you will visit the Temple, which is dedicated to the hawk-headed god, Harwar, and the crocodile god, Sobek. MARCH 16 – In Aswan, you will sail on the Nile in a faluka and visit the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Dinner and overnight will be on board the ship. B, L, D
MARCH 17 – After an early breakfast you will fly to Abu Simbel, the colossal Nubian site. The Temple of Abu Simbel was carved from solid rock in 1235 BC by the great Pharaoh Ramses II. Beside it stands the Temple of Hathor, built to honor the pharaoh’s wife, Nefertari. In 1965, these temples were moved piece by piece 200 feet up the hill to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. You will transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Cairo. You will go to the hotel for dinner and overnight. B, D
MARCH 18 – After breakfast today you will drive to Memphis, ancient Egypt’s first capital. Here you will discover Sakkara, the necropolis of this proud city and site of Dahshur’s Step Pyramid, the oldest freestanding stone structure in the world. You will have lunch at the Sakkara Palm. This evening you will go to the home of our guide for a reception. Return to the hotel for overnight. B, L, Reception
MARCH 19 – After breakfast you will visit the mosques of Sultan Hasan and the Citadel. You will have lunch at Nagib Mahfouz and time for shopping in the famous Khan El-Khalili bazaar. You will then return to the hotel for overnight. B, L
MARCH 20 – After breakfast today you will visit Old Cairo where you will see the Coptic Church. You will then go to the famous Egyptian Museum where you will see the largest collection from the pharaonic period. You will have the afternoon free before our farewell dinner at the hotel.
MARCH 21 – You will go to the airport for the return flight to the USA.
