Wednesday, June 4 - Your tour begins as you depart from Orlando on your flight to London.
Thursday, June 5 - You will arrive in London, meet your escort and your private deluxe coach and drive to the hotel. The balance of the day will be at leisure.
Friday, June 6 - This morning you will have a continental breakfast at the hotel and then begin the day of touring. You’ll begin with a city tour of the highlights of London. You will see Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and much more. You will then go for a visit to the Tower of London, the medieval prison used by Henry II as a torture center. You will also see the beautiful Crown Jewels which are housed here. Finally, you will finish the day with a ride on the London Eye, the gigantic Ferris wheel with panoramic views of the city. Afterwards you will return to the hotel for dinner on your own and overnight. You will have an opportunity to go to a play in London. Name of play and price to be announced.
Saturday, June 7 - Today after a continental breakfast at the hotel you will visit Westminster Abbey, where you will learn the rich history of this official church of England's royal family. You will continue to St. Paul’s Cathedral where John Wesley worshipped frequently. On the day he was converted, Wesley came here for an afternoon service and was deeply moved by the anthem which the choir sang, “Out of the Deep Have I called Unto Thee, O Lord”. You will then visit the Charterhouse School where John Wesley was educated in London. You’ll drive along Aldersgate Street where Wesley had his “Heart-warming experience” on May 24, 1738. You will then return to the hotel for dinner on your own and overnight.
Sunday, June 8 - After a continental breakfast at the hotel you will leave to go to worship at Wesley’s Chapel. After worship you will visit Wesley’s Home and see the place where he is buried. You will then visit Bunhill Fields Cemetery where Susanna Wesley is buried as well as John Bunyan, Isaac Watts, Daniel DeFoe and William Blake.
Monday, June 9 - After your continental breakfast at the hotel, you will say farewell to London and travel to Oxford where John Wesley attended Christ Church College at Oxford University. You will also visit Lincoln College where he served as a fellow. After your visit in Oxford, you will travel through the charming area of the Cotswolds where you will enjoy afternoon tea at a traditional English restaurant. After tea, you will continue to Stratford-upon-Avon for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Tuesday, June 10 - This morning you will have a hot buffet breakfast before beginning your day of touring. You will begin with a visit to William Shakespeare’s birthplace as well as Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried. From there you will travel to Coventry where you will visit the beautiful cathedral there. Early in World War II most of the city was destroyed by bombing. The charred ruins of the old cathedral are situated next to the modern cathedral in tribute to the indomitable spirit of this community. You will return to the hotel in Stratford for dinner and overnight.
Wednesday, June 11 - After a hot buffet breakfast at the hotel you will leave Stratford-upon-Avon on your way to York. You will stop in Epworth on your way. This is where Samuel and Susanna Wesley lived with their children at the Old Rectory – the place where John Wesley was born while his father was the pastor here. This home was rebuilt in 1709 after a fire destroyed their earlier home. Samuel Wesley is buried here. After your visit here you will continue on your way to York for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Thursday, June 12 – This morning you will have a hot buffet breakfast at the hotel before beginning your sightseeing. You will tour the city of York and visit the Minster, the largest medieval church in Northern Europe which has a wealth of beautiful stained glass. The Minster is on a historic site that dates back to Roman times. You will then leave York and travel to Bristol for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Friday, June 13 - You will have a hot buffet breakfast at the hotel and then begin your tour of Bristol. This ancient port city is the home of John Wesley’s first chapel, the “New Room”. It is the oldest Methodist worship site in continuous service. Next you will visit the open-air cathedral at Hanham Mount where George Whitfield and John Wesley preached their earliest open-air sermons in 1739. You will continue your tour with a visit to the city of Bath. The warm waters of this spa town have refreshed and healed people since Roman times. You will visit the Roman baths and the Pump Room built on Britain’s only hot springs. You will then visit the Wesley Center where you will learn about the origin and growth of Kingswood School, which was founded by John Wesley in 1748. You will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Saturday, June 14 - After a hot buffet breakfast, you will go to the London airport for your flight back to Orlando.
